At Granite Underwriting, we are committed to continuously improving the way we serve our broker partners, and we are excited to announce the rollout of our new broker portals and enhanced trading platform, powered by ICE. This initiative is a key part of our ongoing investment in technology and our broader growth strategy.

Our new platform is designed to make it significantly easier for brokers to access our extensive range of non-standard insurance products and expertise. By streamlining processes, reducing administrative burdens, and enabling faster quote-and-bind capabilities, brokers will be able to focus more on their clients and less on paperwork.

Our first product to transition to the ICE platform was our online-only motor policy Motorcade in 2022. This successful test of ICE’s readiness to support our business was completed over 12 months.

The next stage of the phased rollout, set to begin over the next few months, will start with non-standard car and van products before expanding to include commercial fleet and motor trade policies. However, this is not a one-time upgrade. We have a dedicated team in place to ensure that the platform continues to evolve, improving functionality and responding to the needs of our broker partners.

Our goal is to provide a seamless, web-based, one-stop shop where brokers can easily access all their existing policies with Granite Underwriting. This approach aligns with our long-term strategy of expanding our broker relationships while maintaining the high standards of service and flexibility that set us apart in the market.

The investment in our trading platform reflects our commitment to innovation and operational excellence. We have carefully selected ICE as our system provider, allowing us to be agile, giving us greater control over underwriting, data enrichment, and question sets – ensuring a more tailored and efficient experience for brokers and their clients.

This technology transformation is a significant step forward for Granite, reinforcing our ability to respond quickly to market demands, introduce new products with speed, and offer a more dynamic and responsive service. As we continue on our growth journey, we are excited about the opportunities this brings for both our business and our valued broker partners.

Our transition to the ICE platform was recently featured in leading insurance publication Insurance Age. If you would like to learn more, click the link to read the full article here.

  • No-code configuration: We can launch new products via business configuration without reliance on ICE’s team, achieving complete self-sufficiency.
  • Seamless integration: ICE’s extensive ecosystem, open architecture and robust APIs enabled seamless integration to our portals and preferred integration partners.
  • Customer empowerment: Our customers have 24/7 access a custom-built self-service portal that connects via ICE’s APIs, enhancing customer satisfaction with enhanced functionality.
